My favorite costume designer; Collen Atwood

 

It’s been some years since I’ve been following  the work of Colleen Atwood, she is the costume designer by excellence in the Tim Burton movies. She is a consecrated designer and filled with ideas, she made me look at my own career with a more serious eye even when I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to study. I admired her profoundly because of her enormous imagination for costume design and her wonderful use of color in each one of her works, I’ve found myself recognizing her work, her personal mark, even before I know that she is the one who made it.

She a designer that has received twelve nominations to the Oscars, winning in different occasions, some of them were Chicago, Alice in wonderland, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them and my favorite; Memories of a Geisha. This last one, in my opinion, is the most important one because of all the investigation work that she had to make, and because of how precise it was.
